SCIENTIFIC WRITING & PRESENTING
This complete 10 hour course engages participants in, strategies of how to communicate effectively in English, in keeping with accepted international practices and conventions, in formal writing and when presenting, for a scientific & academic audience and for the purposes of: sharing research data or findings, requesting or applying for funding, and publishing.
About the trainer:
Hi, I’m Pierre, a native-speaking, professional and fully-qualified language teacher with over 15 years of experience helping students and professionals improve their language skills.
I am originally from Canada and have graduated with a BA in Political Science from Wilfrid Laurier University, Canada and an MSc in Human Geography (Sustainable Cities specialization) from King’s College London (2016, pass with distinction).
I have taught on multiple EAP (English for Academic Purposes) pre-sessional courses in the UK including the University of Edinburgh, the University of Bristol, and Imperial College London. There, I have worked with students across all disciplines including the arts, humanities & social sciences, business & economics, TOEFL, environmental disciplines and STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and medicine).
